The Sunny Kitchen is a cottage bakery that operates out of a home kitchen. The Sunny Kitchen produces foods that are identified as eligible through the Colorado Cottage Foods Act. Below is a list of items that are identified as eligible and ineligible foods.
Eligible Foods
- Picked Fruits and Vegetables
- Dry Spices
- Dry Teas
- Dehydrated produce
- Nuts, seeds
- Honey, jams, jellies, preserves, fruit butter
- Baked goods such as muffins, fruit pies, cookies, cakes**
- Buttercream made with ghee or vegetable oil
- Candies, fudge
- Freeze-Dried Produce
**The Sunny Kitchen is a home kitchen that currently provides bakes goods. Any requests for pickled, dehydrated, or freeze-dried foods will be denied.
Ineligible Foods
- Any meat product
- Baked or Fried goods having cream, custard, or meringue fillings or toppings
- Buttercream made with butter
- Sauces such as barbeque, hot, pizza, salad dressing
- Beverages
- Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, mayo
- Pumpkin, sweet potato pie, cream pies
- Cut fresh fruits or vegetables
- Fruit or vegetable juices, concentrates, purees
- Pepper jelly or jams
- Freeze dried meals
- Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) containing products
